Dr. Gavin Veitch

Dr. Veitch grew up around veterinary medicine and started working as a kennel assistant in his Father’s Hospital in Maryland when he was 15. Prior to vet school, he worked as a veterinary animal care assistant, veterinary client services representative, and unlicensed veterinary technician.

He left Maryland to go to college at the University of Georgia and stayed there to complete veterinary school. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Veitch moved to Richmond in 2006 when he was accepted to an emergency medicine internship at what is now Virginia Veterinary Center in Carytown. He completed his internship and stayed on to work in emergency medicine for 3 more years.

Since then, Dr. Veitch has been working in small animal general practice around Richmond and joined the Sycamore team in 2020.
